Twin Motors are custom made for this application. They're not "standard, off-the-shelf" motors like others use. Our motors have been optimized for torque and efficiency and have surprising power.

6061 Aluminum Alloy is used throughout. This alloy is stronger and stiffer than the typical "architectural" grades used by other manufacturers.

Long-Life NiMH Battery is designed for critical, ultra high reliability, applications that require high current efficiencies, high recharge efficiencies and extremely long life. The 2000X can be fully charged in under 90 minutes.

Tires are made of the highest rolling efficiency Poly Ether based Polyurethane available anywhere. This elastomer is very durable and can tolerate the high speeds of the 2000X TranSporter. Most other inexpensive "skate" wheels can't begin to compare with our speed or efficiency.

Low Deck Height encourages you to kick to accelerate. This saves significant amounts of energy. The low deck height makes low speed maneuvering sure and positive, and makes high speed handling confident. The low deck is more fun too!

Computer Controlled Electronic microprocessor monitors and controls several system functions and maximizes the flexibility and efficiency of our Pulse Width Modulated drive system. It makes it possible to offer things like the power saving Kick-to-Go feature. It also dramatically increases efficiency and battery life, while providing excellent acceleration.

Always On Freewheeling Allows our Motorboard to kick as easily as a good kick-scooter. Our drive system has such low drag that we do not have to disengage it for kicking. This saves complexity and weight, and enhances reliability and simplicity. (Always leave the switch turned "ON" when you are using the motorboard - even as a kick scooter. If you fail to do this you can damage the drive circuits.)

Superb Balance We worked very hard to optimize our 2000X TranSporter as a balanced system. We maximized the weight savings and achieved a very compact folded size. Our complete Motorboard weighs less than most light-weight bicycles. It seems even lighter because it folds up be be easily carried in one hand. It is possible to carry two 2000X TranSporters in the trunk of a Miata, and still have room for other things like a backpack!

Piano Hinge Most scooters use a "tricycle class" steering neck. Our hinge is significantly stronger more similar to the ultra strong high performance light weight hinge configurations of aircraft rudders and controls.

Multi-Function Kick Stand The kneeling stance for the "kick-stand" function is stylish & effective. It eliminates the need for side kick stands common on other scooters, providing less clutter and no kick stand to hang up on while cornering. It utilizes the same Mult-Function lever that collapses the board and instantly swaps back into the riding configuration.

Maximum Speed of 15 mph is fast enough to be effective for short trips and is still a reasonable top speed for a scooter of this size.
