                  Airless Tire Installation Tips

12.5" Solid Urethane

Soak the tire in hot tap water for 15 minutes. (submerge it with weights)
When it's nice and warm, strap/tape/tie wrap it to the rim at the 6 o'clock
position. Using both hands, work the tire onto the rim toward the 3 and 9
o'clock positions. At this point you may need to use a wooden spoon handle
or similar tool to get the tire up and over the 12 o'clock part of the rim.
Once on the rim, go around both sides of the rim and "tuck" the little flap
(part of the tire bead) into the rim to fully seat.

8" Zappy Style Split Rim Urethane Filled Tires

WARNING: Remove the original wheel from the scooter, and let
out all the air from the tire! Do NOT attempt to remove the bolts
holding the wheel halves together until all the air is removed, or you
may be injured or damage the rim.

HINT: Purchase a pair of 2" long bolts (matching the thread size of
the existing rim bolts) for use during the following assembly steps.

Remove all four bolts and nuts from the wheel, and separate the rim halves.
Using a bit of soapy water on the rim, insert one of the rim halves into the
urethane tire. Lay the assembly on a solid surface (rim down) and work the
tire down onto the rim as much as possible.

Place the other rim half (making sure to align the keyway in each rim half) on
top of the tire and push down to begin the insertion. Insert to two long bolts
(mentioned in the "Hint" above) into the rim, and thread them finger tight into
the nuts on the opposite side. Gradually draw the halves together by applying
one or two turns ALTERNATELY to the long bolts. When the rims halves
are close enough, you will be able to insert and tighten two of the original bolts
and nuts. Be sure to tighten the bolts a little at a time, so that the rims go
together evenly.

Finally, remove the two long bolts and install the remaining original hardware.
