This is the electric scooter that started the whole thing! There have been few substantive performance changes in Zappy since its inception. The motor is powered by a 12V-20A/Hr battery. Limited range and speed characterize its stock performance, but lots of potential for modification and experimentation lurk under the nicely styled exterior. Perhaps more "upgrades" have been developed for this platform than any other scooter on the market!
Quality has remained high, and parts are readily available through a large number of dealers. Some have said the Zappy is overpriced, considering its modest performance, but these classy scoots continue to sell based on their eye appeal and portability. At 37 lbs and 12" tall, (folded) they can be ridden to the office and stored under the desk with relative ease.
